What you see
Your whole site’s storage, in one report.
One analysis measures every folder and database table, then shows the answer in a way you can act on.
- 01
Overview
Total storage split into media, plugins, themes, WordPress core, the database, stored backups and everything else, as a chart with sizes and percentages.
- 02
Storage details
Tabs for plugins, themes, folders and database tables, with sizes, file counts and each item’s share. Sort by size, files, name or active first.
- 03
Inactive plugins and themes, marked
See at a glance which large plugins and themes are not even in use.
- 04
Largest files
The 20 biggest files on the site with their paths, so a forgotten video or archive stands out.
- 05
What we noticed
Findings from your numbers, each with something you can do: backups on the same server, inactive plugins, media growth, large caches, a nearly full disk.
- 06
Change since last time
How much the site grew or shrank since the previous analysis.
Storage details
Every plugin, theme, folder and table, measured.
Bars and totals make the biggest items stand out. Inactive plugins and themes are marked, and folders open up so you can see which year of uploads or which cache grew.
- Plugins and themes with real names, sizes and file counts
- Sort by size, files, name or active first
- Folders with drill-down, including caches and other backup plugins
- Database tables by size, with row estimates
What we noticed
Findings, not just numbers.
Storage Insights reads your results and points out what deserves a look, each with something you can do about it for free.
- Backups kept on the same server as the site
- No backups found at all
- Inactive plugins and themes taking space
- Media growth, large caches and a nearly full server disk
Fixed thresholds and your own numbers. Nothing is guessed.
How it works
Three steps, a few minutes.

An overview, details for every plugin, theme, folder and table, the largest files, and findings with what to do next.
Safe by design
It measures. It never touches.
Storage Insights is read-only on purpose, so you can run it on a live site without a second thought.
- Read-only: it measures, nothing on your site is changed, moved or deleted
- Runs in short steps from your browser, so large sites stay within server time limits
- No account, no tracking, no external requests; results stay in your database
- Only administrators can run an analysis or see the results

FAQ
Questions about Storage Insights.
Is Storage Insights really free?
Yes. It is a complete plugin on WordPress.org with no account, no trial and no limits on what it shows.
Does it delete or change anything?
No. It only reads file and database table sizes. To free space you use the tools you already have, such as deleting inactive plugins, or BackupScope Pro’s cleanup with its 30-day trash.
Why do the numbers differ from my hosting panel?
Storage Insights measures your WordPress site: its folders and database. A hosting panel may also count email, logs, other sites and files outside WordPress.
Will it work on a large site?
Yes. The analysis runs in short steps driven by your browser, so it stays within normal server time limits, and you can watch the progress.
How is it different from BackupScope Pro?
Storage Insights shows the numbers when you open it. BackupScope Pro analyses on a schedule, emails you before the disk or hosting plan fills up, charts growth over time, reviews media and cleans up into a 30-day trash, and also backs up the whole site.
